White lies and tall tales
Summary:
This week we learn a lesson about white lies and tall tales.
We have had an ability to tell a lie since we are kids. Telling a lie is not a really wrong behavior because there are many situations that we should tell a lie in this lesson. For example, we tell a lie when we want to avoid an unpleasant social situation or to avoid embarrassment. Sometimes, we have to choose to tell a lie to protective or others, so we can not be afraid of telling lies.
Reaction:
After I read this lesson, I know that we can choose to tell lies to avoid some situation which we do not want to hurt others or escape embarrassment .So I am not afraid of telling white lies to protective.

This week we learn a lesson about Modern-Day Pirates .Now, there are still pirates in the world. Those modern pirates use high-tech tools to commit theft on the sea. Also, many people are like pirates because they use other people's intellectual property. Many people download music with paying on the Internet instead of buying certified CD. Those intellectual property industries have some ways to against those modern pirates already.
Reaction:
We do not be pirates to steal others people's intellectual property because those authors spend their mental and physical efforts to finish a works. So we should respect for their intellectual property.

Edward Teach (Blackbeard the Pirate) decapitated. Edward Teach, born in Bristol is probably the most notorious pirate ever. He was a huge man with a large black beard, hence the knick name. He would plait his beard with fuses which he would light just before going into battle. His sea career began as a privateer but in 1716 he joined a pirate ship. They plundered ships in the Caribbean and off the American coast and towards the end of 1717 seized a French ship, the Concorde which Teach claimed and renamed "Queen Mary's Revenge". Teach built up a fleet of four ships and continued plundering ships, his most famous exploit was blockading Charleston and plundering nine ships in the bay. The Royal Navy was sent after him and he was killed at Ocracoke after a fierce battle. Teach received five pistol shots and 20 severe sword wounds and was still wielding his cutlass with blood gushing out of a neck wound.

Can you keep a secret? How would you send a secret message? What if it fell into the wrong hands? Spies and the military of all nations have been sending secret messages since ancient times. They all developed ingenious codes to protect their battle plans and valuable information from prying eyes. The art of encoding or decoding these secret messages is called “cryptography.”

Another way is a system of cryptography called “ciphers”.

After I read this essay ,I feel that secret codes are not difficult to learn no matter chilren amd adults. It is very interesting if you know the rule of codes. I think secret codes can be uesed in the game between parents and their children because they can use secret codes to write something to talk with each other.It can improve the love between parents and children.

When we went to supermarket to buy something that merchandises are given bar codes for people to identity them. Also, we can know that the origin of Enigma code. First, it was developed to communicate with brunches of companies. And then German military found that Enigma code was a great apparatus to create unbreakable codes.
Although many people wanted to crack Enigma code, they couldn’t crack the impediments of Enigma lode until Alan Turing cracked it .Those people who in the Alan Turing were unrecognized after they had died.

This essay tells us that we can not believe what we read easily on the Internet, because a lot of fraudster appears on the Internet to cheat people’s money.
There are some common scans on the Internet nowadays, and they have many skills to make people believe easily.
